CUSTOM BUSINESS TOOLS AND SOFTWARE

From one focused tool to a connected system, with controlled scope.

I build web applications for administration, financial control, operations, customer workflows and internal management. The scale changes; the discipline does not: understand the work, define a useful first release and build only what creates value.

01
ENGAGEMENT

Custom business tool

Solve one concrete need without forcing the business into an oversized platform.

Best suited to: Quoting, calculations, tracking, forms, documents, dashboards, financial control and focused management applications.

$5,000–$15,000
  • Use-case workflow and rules
  • Required data model
  • Interface shaped around the user
  • Agreed exports or documents
  • Testing, deployment and handoff

This can be a standalone tool or the first component of a wider system. Scope remains deliberately focused.

02
ENGAGEMENT

Internal system and automation

Replace expensive handoffs with a shared, traceable workflow shaped around the business.

Best suited to: Quotes, orders, documents, tasks, incidents, approvals and operational control.

$15,000–$45,000
  • Data model and business rules
  • Users, roles and permissions
  • Team and management interfaces
  • Agreed migration or integration
  • Testing, launch and documentation

The proposal defines a complete first release. Users, migration, automation and integrations determine the final investment.

03
ENGAGEMENT

Customer portal or B2B platform

Connect customers and internal teams around requests, documents, decisions and history.

Best suited to: Customer portals, procurement, quotations, orders, technical documents, accounts and multi-role operations.

$25,000–$75,000+
  • Customer journey and internal console
  • Permissions and traceability
  • Request, review and approval workflows
  • Integrations and document management
  • Milestone delivery and continuity plan

Platforms are funded in phases. Each phase must leave a usable capability and a clear decision about the next investment.

04
ENGAGEMENT

Automation and applied AI

Reduce repetitive work with rules, integrations or AI where it genuinely improves the process.

Best suited to: Documents, classification, data transfer, alerts, response preparation, follow-up and repeated tasks.

$8,000–$30,000
  • Role and boundary definition
  • Approved systems, access and data
  • Real-case evaluation
  • Human approval and audit trail
  • Controlled launch and improvement

The first phase proves reliability and value before access or autonomy expands. It is not a promise of total automation.

Complex requests can begin with an independent $3,000–$7,500 discovery and definition phase. Web design remains available when it supports acquisition, a launch or a wider solution; it is not DG Virtual Agency's primary offer.

INVESTMENT CRITERIA

Custom software has to earn its place.

If an existing product solves the problem well, I will recommend it. We build when business rules, integration or operational advantage justify bespoke software.

01

Current cost

Time, errors, waiting and opportunities lost today.

02

Operational risk

What can fail and which decisions need control.

03

First capability

The smallest complete journey that changes the operation.

04

Evidence

What must be proven before the next phase is funded.

A PRACTICAL FIRST STEP

Does this operation justify custom software?

Describe the workflow, who is involved and the cost of leaving it unchanged. The fit call determines whether discovery, an existing product or custom development is responsible.
